GNOME stitch markers, all together now.
Here are some little cuties…
These gnomes will look after your knitting!
Let me know if you would like some!!

New stitch markers, new ticking & tocking and a new mermaid.
Hiya! I am quiet for 10 days, and NOW you’re going to GET IT!
Thought I’d post some new markers that I have been working on–

and for those of you into the whole Blythe Doll thing, now you can fly your BLYTHE flag while knitting for her!!–

I am busy making loads of markers. I will be live–in person with the delicious MAMA*E and a whole gaggle of other fine fiber artists at the Homespun Yarn Fest in Takoma Park in a couple of weeks — March 30. You can get your news about it here. Sounds like a really fun day and great way to see what beautiful work local fiber folk have to offer! You will also find she and I at the glorious MARYLAND SHEEP AND WOOL FESTIVAL at the Cloverhill Yarns booth ( Main bldg. D2 & 3).
What else, you ask?? My ticker got adjusted — you know daylight savings and all that. I have to thank my dear Pegaloo for this loveliness, which I never grow tired of seeing or SMELLING. Wow is it yummy. And I am feeling GREAT. Thanks to all of you who cared for and about me.

(…and Peg says PLANT THOSE PEAS!! It was St. Paddy’s day after all. I am trying Peg.
)

These are some Happy-Spring hand/wrist warmers I whipped up. I think I like them… though I sometimes feel like I am wearing hand braces. And that’s a little weird for me.
They look like nice dye-splashed hands, n’est pas? (“A touch of DESTINY Will Turner” — the mysterious Tia Dalma says in PIRATES.) Upcoming blog post note to self– “CRaZy serendipitous life change: smitten with the colored girl.”
A few more photos and then I am off to bed. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I surely owe this many for my time away from blogworld!
Meet Bizza-Bizza-Wah-Wah. That has been the name of Rosemary’s imaginary friend since way back, and this is Marigold’s needle felted tribute to her.
Eeesh. What DO they play?
I made a new mermaid for the small poppet-girl today.

I think Marigold added a belly button gem since these pics– it was just missing that certain something.
Good night, sleep tight. NO biting.
P.S. Aunt Matryoshka – The little says ” Mama, you are a good needlefelter, but Aunt is AWESOME! Look at the nose on that gnomie– it’s peeeeerrrrrrrfect!”

Aren’t you just SICK of it?
My kids were snortling and rattling again this week. And my dear sister who was coming to visit has another variety of sick in her tribe. And it’s just E-V-E-R-Y where, it seems. Jim sent me this last night, and I had to laugh. Click on here and you will go to the order form where you can admire such lovelies as PLUSHY versions of the common cold, flu, strep and yes, even BLACK DEATH. ( and there are maaaany others.)
Right from their germ-filled pages—
Welcome to GIANTmicrobes!

Now available: The Common Cold, The Flu, Sore Throat, Stomach Ache, Cough, Ear Ache, Bad Breath, Kissing Disease, Athlete’s Foot, Ulcer, Martian Life, Beer & Bread, Black Death, Ebola, Flesh Eating, Sleeping Sickness, Dust Mite, Bed Bug, and Bookworm (and in our Professional line: H.I.V. and Hepatitis). Each 5-to-7 inch doll is accompanied by an image of the real microbe it represents, as well as information about the microbe. They make great learning tools for parents and educators, as well as amusing gifts for anyone with a sense of humor!
Yes…. Anyone with a sense of humor. I have lost that completely for SICK. I am not sure even a plushy– even the petri dish version–would save that. Perhaps I should start a germ knit-a-long on Ravelry!
I think a knitting update is on the pile for tomorrow, and maybe some family art. Stay tuned, and feel better to those dealing with sick! xo
Knitastic! Stitchtastic! Markertastic!
Hedwig and I have been SO very busy with a new batch of stitch markers, and I am very excited about them!
I have updated the stitch marker page at right, please have a look. There are also 2 *new* pages– the *NEW* markers ( yay!) and a Logo-marker gallery. Please check them out and let me know what you think.
Happy Valentine’s day! (aaaannnnd Good night.)

Here’s Hedwig. Yep, we put her in the light box. She LOVED it. I think.
She loves to hang out with me while I work on markers. Sometimes, she’ll suggest beads… other times she’ll throw markers all around the table in a bird-fit. She’s wonderful, lovely and sometimes moody. ( Sigh. Aren’t we all?) Look at this smile–
