Here are some pics from the last week or so to illustrate for you what’s been going on around gnomeville.
I got a good MAD-ON about life and cleaned the heck out of the garden last weekend. No pictures yet, ( Note…Camera died; part of the MAD-ON. You will be subjected to phone pics until further notice.) Getting the ideas swirling about for planting though. I really want to grow things that we WILL EAT A LOT OF this year. No exotic weirdness, no zucchini– which only I like. Veggie goodness that will make good food on our table MOST days of the week. Tell me your ideas and favorites.
The Homespun Yarn Party was so much fun– and so crazy busy! I met some really nice fibery folk. I fell in love with the lovely LOOP. ( Saving for the dark blingy one!) I am honored to have officially joined up with MAMA-E and her yarn empire. I am so wonkily excited! She is such a lovely, hysterical and talented person– and so very colorful despite this picture which I borrowed from her.

We’ll be conjuring up from the cauldron together, and I am betting on loads of fun and exciting creations with her. We’ll be appearing live all over the place– details as they happen, and more information soon.
April Fools’ Day or All Fools’ Day although not a holiday in its own right, is a notable day celebrated in many countries on April 1. The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, enemies and neighbors, or sending them on fools’ errands, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible.– says Wiki.
Made a meatloaf cake for our celebration.

My poppets have embraced this day as an International Holiday. While we haven’t had many major pranks, we do enjoy some weird food. My cake was nowhere near as elegant as the one in the recipe-you try piping mashed potatoes! It was pretty darn yummy. We had colorful drinks

and some friends with really good cookies.
Easter and Spring Break– had a great time at the beach with my nice family.

( The all seeing sky pimple for Jim who had to work.)

Here are this kids all queued up for the annual egg-massacre. The little one in the front is the one to watch ! Devilish egg!
Mom, dear sisters and their awesome children. Despite a broken arm on my nephew ( no fault of the massacre ) and an ear infection on Rosie, it all was just ducky. The girls loved the beach, even cold.

(stunt yoga)

Marigold got to got see beach-ponies. Really close up.

Mama-girl came down the last couple of days with her favorite cowboy and we had loads of fun. Here’s her getting the sizzling end of a lightsaber.

She put up a good fight….

Alas and alack, proved no match for the Jedi-cowboy!
Family art happening this weekend…. Pics to follow.
Jim has been doing some nice work on the docks.
Some knitting by me, though not much. Still trying to finish up that baby skater hoodie and a Grabbit blanket for a new little fairie.
Then there’s Sheep and Wool coming…. So much to do. I’ll show you what I am cooking up once it is a bit more, well, cooked.
More, more, more to come. I need to get to sleep now. Tomorrow is my last official retail day at the yarn shop. I am a wee bit melancholic over it all, though it will be nice to be around on Saturdays more often.
Keep a weather eye on the skypimple.
