Summahhtime

July 23rd, 2010

So, wow, it is zipping along, this summer.  Four and a bit of weeks left until I return to the Montessori Kid Factory.

I’ve been so crappy about taking pictures and  blogging.
Here are a few shots from the road thus traveled.  Be on the lookout for more soon.  And flying pigs, probably.

I will do my best!

Shangriladidah on 94th st.

Lily’s learns to KNIT!

The new family member– Bob the budgie– bequeathed to us by the neighbor Bob, who is not a budgie.  Here is the Bantam pecker who roams his yard, is NOT our pet, and drives all of Reisterstown crazy.

The Mid Atlantic Hedgehog Show

Both girls got awesome ribbons for being awesome Jr. handlers.  It was a fun day.  Sort of like a hedgehog pageant and olympics rolled into one!

The Artscape and peanut adventures ( see Jim for more)

Lastly, here’s Punkin all doozied-up.

Adornment

October 15th, 2008

There’s this great little gallery & craft center in Hampden’s Mill Center.

It’s called Adornment.  It’s a pretty great place– sort of an art and craft mecca…  Supplying education and materials as well as studio space and gallery/salon for many art/craft mediums. If you are Arty or Crafty, you should have a look at their class schedule.

Here is Rosie in the gallery space with the the owner’s 2 very adorable pups.

I am glad to announce that I am going to be teaching some classes there.  On Nov 8th and 15th I will be teaching a felted jewelry class for them.  Please tell anyone that you think might be interested, and be sure to look into Adornment if you are interested in expanding your art/craft repertoire!  I’ll be there after noon on Sunday doing a fibery represent for the School 33 Open Studio Tours  Come on by and see me!

I will have a few more workshops to anounce soon, stay tuned!

More ARTSCAPE: Useful Art (that you can sit on.)

July 22nd, 2008

The last installment in the ARTSCAPE coverage series.

I wanted to share pictures of our family’s experience in the ART.

Sort of Gnomey, right?

Right where you want your kids… in the lap of the Buddha.

The fish sang and the lobsters danced.

Dying to make some of these for the garden!

Quick game of ISPY.  Can you spot the little Godzilla?  See jim for an close up.

REALLY useful art. There should be one of these on every block!!

Ok. Done with the tour. BUT, MORE ART COMING RIGHT UP!
