Oh, I’m still here alright.

Had a busy week. Had a nice visit with my sister and her girls. Had a couple of days off from school for the poppets. Had breakfast in bed a la Marigold. Delivered a bunch of stitch markers. (Thanks!) Here, see for yourself.

my waitron

the appetizers ( cheerios with powdered sugar and or nutella on them — ok for weight watchers, she says– plus something to play while I waited)

the breakfast

the tea

and Rosemary showed up with chopsticks and tooo much lipstick, as usual.

ALL this plus I practically finished a sweater–bsj-front.jpg

and these are hats that Jim is going to get if he doesn’t LOOK OUT!

The awesome skeletoque aka skeleclava from Instructables ( a site I am growing very fond of…) Here you can learn how to eat a banana LIKE A MONKEY AND how to grow a square watermelon!! Things that you have probably never thought you needed to know how to do– but I bet you’ll find something you fancy there! You’ll see.
See the skele-slide show here.

I suppose it is a breezier version of the Knitty Jekyll & Hide which is underway, but slowly.

Then there’s the truly wacky beard-hat. I can just see him on the train in this one. You can buy one in Brooklyn for $135.00– or just wait for the pattern. Jim may want interchangeable mustaches, I will have to consult.

Goodnight hb.

More as it happens.

Those mustach hats are too funny! You definitley need to make of those! You could a button or use velcro on the back to make them interchangeable – how fun!!

    Congrats on finishing the sweater!

Dawn! I miss you too, girl! Can I just say, after seeing it in person, how incredibly, stupendously GORGEOUS your surprise jacket is? It looks like stained glass or jeweled enamel or something equally sumptuous. Your choice of colors and yarns is really inspired.
    You’re the best!
