It has been a strangely wonderful week here in the life-garden. Full of polarities. Contemplative and chaotic. Orderly and disorderly. Exciting new things and nostalgic old ones. Changes. Lots of new ideas for life, plans, projects. Up, down and around on the dragon coaster.
Had a fun day of big adventures with sweet mama e and her boy– my fairie-god-son. It was a STAR WARS-a-palooza out in the back yard. There were light sabers flying — all sorts of Chewy mayhem. Rosemary wore her Queen Amadala dress and Marigold was working a Harry Potter robe, which was BLACK so she ended up being a SITH or some evil character just by default
. She was trying to carve a light saber out of a big stick with a butter knife. The vision of youth.
Fun times and nice people.
Good, really good. AND it is March 1 which means SPRING and SOOOOOOOOON! This time of year always gets me a little crazed with possibilities. The SUN is coming back. I start to think about the garden and summer vacation and warmth. Art ideas, house projects. Grackles and hummingbirds.
Had a needle felting class today that was really fun. Had a harpist in class; Kim
. You just don’t come across many of the harpies. Again, really nice people.
I love seeing people be overtaken by the zen of needle felting , and I always have so much fun. Here are todays little births–

Me? I’ll share these–

My friend from the deep–

Then THIS is just weird….

I swear the next post will have some knitting and marker content. I do have stuff cooking, just not ready to show you.

Glad you all had such a fabulous time! I hear all about it from mama e!
Love the Amy sheep – that is too funny!
I’m completely addicted to needle felting. My pal Deb at Stitches teaches it there and she does it on her jeans! I am working on a pair right now. Deb has a beautiful fiber-painting of flowers around the hem. I am also felt-painting on my ten-year old stegman wool and cork clogs. So much fun. Thank you for the video of the harp playing. I love how the capelet idea worked out. The playing was exquisite.
Hey! – I’m not exactly sure what this has to do with Dolls (that’s what I was searching on MSN when I saw a link here), but I’m glad I got a chance to read your blog. Thanks!!
